Soy abogada con experiencia en litigios, inmigración, propiedad intelectual y derecho transaccional. He trabajado con inmigrantes, emprendedores, artistas, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y pequeñas empresas. También soy comunicadora y disfruto hacer que temas complejos sean más fáciles de entender y accesibles para quienes buscan orientación.
Aunque nunca estudié arte de manera formal, la creatividad siempre ha sido una parte importante de mi vida. En los últimos años comencé a dibujar y a explorar diferentes formas de expresión visual simplemente porque disfruto crear. Así nació el UJUverso, un pequeño universo construido alrededor de personajes originales que diseño y dibujo, y que cobran vida a través de historias y composiciones digitales.
Me considero una creadora visual independiente y autodidacta, siempre aprendiendo, experimentando y encontrando alegría en el proceso creativo. Cada personaje tiene su propia personalidad, pero todos comparten un mismo propósito: contar pequeñas historias y transmitir mensajes que promuevan la bondad, la empatía y los valores.
Esa misión encuentra su espacio en The Kind Shop, un proyecto creado para llevar los mensajes del UJUverso más allá de una composición y convertirlos en pequeños recordatorios de esas cosas que, en medio de la vida cotidiana, a veces necesitamos volver a escuchar.
Este sitio web reúne mis diferentes intereses y proyectos. Aquí encontrarás mis creaciones visuales, iniciativas creativas, publicaciones con información y consejos legales, y reflexiones sobre temas que considero importantes, como la creatividad, la amabilidad, el emprendimiento y el bienestar emocional. Aunque no soy psicóloga, terapeuta ni coach, creo en el valor de promover conversaciones que nos inviten a tratarnos con más compasión, cuidar nuestro bienestar emocional y contribuir a una sociedad más amable.
Soy colombiana de origen y siento un profundo compromiso con la comunidad latina en los Estados Unidos. Dentro del UJUverso también hay un espacio dedicado especialmente a la experiencia inmigrante: a quienes han tenido que comenzar de nuevo, construir una vida lejos de su lugar de origen, adaptarse, perseverar y encontrar pertenencia entre dos o más mundos. No es el único tema de mis creaciones, pero sí una historia que ocupa un lugar especial dentro de ellas.
Por esa razón, gran parte del contenido de este sitio está disponible en español, con el propósito de acercar información, recursos e inspiración a nuestra comunidad hispanohablante, sin dejar de crear historias y mensajes con los que cualquier persona, sin importar de dónde venga, pueda sentirse identificada.

These words represent different parts of who I am and the journey that has brought me here.
I am a lawyer with experience in litigation, immigration, intellectual property, and transactional law. I have worked with immigrants, entrepreneurs, artists, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses. I am also a communicator, and I enjoy making complex topics easier to understand and more accessible to those looking for guidance.
Although I never formally studied art, creativity has always been an important part of my life. In recent years, I began drawing and exploring different forms of visual expression simply because I enjoy creating. That is also how the UJUverse (pronounced “oo-hoo-verse”) was born—a little universe built around original characters that I design and draw, and that come to life through stories and digital compositions.
I consider myself an independent, self-taught visual creator, always learning, experimenting, and finding joy in the creative process. Each character has a personality of its own, but they all share the same purpose: to tell little stories and convey messages that promote kindness, empathy, and positive values.
That mission finds its home in The Kind Shop, a project created to take the messages of the UJUverse beyond a digital composition and turn them into little reminders of the things we sometimes need to hear again in the midst of everyday life.
This website brings together my different interests and projects. Here you will find my visual creations, creative initiatives, posts with legal information and practical guidance, and reflections on topics that matter to me, including creativity, kindness, entrepreneurship, and emotional well-being. Although I am not a psychologist, therapist, or coach, I believe in the value of encouraging conversations that invite us to treat one another with greater compassion, care for our emotional well-being, and contribute to a kinder society.
I am originally from Colombia and feel a deep commitment to the Latino community in the United States. Within the UJUverse, there is also a special space dedicated to the immigrant experience—to those who have had to start over, build a life far from their place of origin, adapt, persevere, and find a sense of belonging between two or more worlds. It is not the only theme in my creations, but it is a story that holds a special place within them.
For that reason, much of the content on this website is available in Spanish, with the goal of making information, resources, and inspiration more accessible to our Spanish-speaking community, while continuing to create stories and messages that anyone, regardless of where they come from, can connect with.
